Rooted in Purpose. Powered by Equity. Guided by Experience.
CurateMed Insights was born from lived experience and a deep belief that healing is never one-size-fits-all. Founded by Dr. Antoinette Leonard-Jean Charles—educator, doula, medical student, and lifelong advocate—CurateMed was created to support the individuals who often fall through the cracks of traditional care systems. From students managing academic stress to parents navigating postpartum recovery, from individuals living with chronic illness to those simply seeking clarity and agency in their health, we meet every client exactly where they are—with personalized, culturally responsive care rooted in science and compassion.
Dr. LJ's journey through higher education, maternal health advocacy, chronic illness, and medical training profoundly shaped her understanding of being truly seen, heard, and supported. CurateMed was built to challenge the rigidity and inequity baked into healthcare and education by offering something better: flexible, virtual, and hybrid services that center the individual, not the institution. We believe in the power of trust, collaboration, and dignity to change outcomes—and lives.
Today, CurateMed serves individuals, families, and organizations across the country. Through one-on-one coaching, maternal care, advocacy, wellness planning, and community-informed consulting, our work is guided by one truth: healing is personal, and you deserve to define what that looks like.
CurateMed Insights is a virtual and hybrid health consultancy built to make care more accessible, personalized, and culturally responsive. Founded by Dr. Antoinette Leonard-Jean Charles, CurateMed supports those who have been overlooked, misdiagnosed, or underserved by traditional systems. From wellness coaching and maternal support to advocacy and provider empowerment, each service is grounded in empathy, evidence, and lived experience.
With a background in medical education, maternal health, curriculum development, and her own journey with chronic illness, Dr. Charles created CurateMed to offer more than just services—she created a space for restoration, agency, and informed care. Whether you're looking to reclaim your health, navigate a major life transition, or create more equitable systems in your professional practice, CurateMed is here to meet you with compassion, clarity, and care that honors the whole you.
We serve individuals, families, students, and organizations ready to embrace a more intentional, inclusive, and holistic approach to health, learning, and leadership. Our clients are often caregivers, professionals, chronic illness warriors, first-generation students, new parents, and community educators committed to building something bigger than themselves. Many come to us after feeling misdiagnosed, dismissed, or unsupported. We understand that experience because we’ve lived it and are here to offer something different.
CurateMed is for those who believe care should be collaborative, and that healing and growth don’t follow a straight line. We support those seeking not just answers, but space to process, strategy to move forward, and a partner who truly listens. Whether you're navigating the system as an individual or reshaping it as a leader, CurateMed is here to help you move forward, with clarity, confidence, and care that centers who you are.
CurateMed was never designed to be just another consulting service—it was built as a response to what’s missing in health, education, and support systems: care that recognizes the whole person. This work is rooted in lived experience and a deep awareness of navigating illness, identity, or learning without culturally responsive guidance. It’s also grounded in a truth we hold closely: systems don’t change independently—someone has to build something better. That’s precisely what we’re doing here.
Our approach integrates medical insight, educational depth, and real-life experience with honesty, humility, and care. Every session—wellness coaching, a maternal support plan, or a curriculum consultation—is designed to reduce harm, increase access, and center humanity. What we offer isn’t transactional. It’s relational, restorative, and transformative—created for those ready to challenge the status quo and reclaim what care should truly feel like.
At CurateMed Insights, our values are more than principles—they are practices that shape how we show up, listen, and care. We lead with equity, ensuring every service reflects justice, access, and the lives of the people we serve. We act compassionately, meeting clients without judgment or assumption, and co-creating paths toward healing, clarity, and empowerment.
Education is woven into everything we do—not as a hierarchy, but as shared knowledge. We don’t gatekeep. We teach, uplift, and equip. We hold fast to integrity in our relationships, promises, and the systems we aim to transform. Where old models fall short, we lead with innovation, designing care that feels human, not institutional. And above all, we honor agency—your right to make informed choices about your body, your care, and your future.
These values guide every offering, from a 1:1 session to long-term collaboration. They’re not just what we believe—they’re how we work.
At CurateMed Insights, our values are living commitments—guiding how we show up, serve, and build trust. We begin with equity, grounding every service in justice, access, and the everyday realities of our clients. We practice compassion by meeting people humbly and without assumption, co-creating paths toward healing, clarity, and growth.
Education is central to our mission, not as a top-down model, but as a shared exchange. We believe in open knowledge: we teach, learn, and empower. We uphold integrity in every relationship and promise, and in the systems we seek to reimagine. Where outdated frameworks fall short, we choose innovation and designing human-centered care, not transactional. And at the heart of everything is agency—your right to understand, choose, and lead your care journey.
These values shape every experience, whether a single session or a long-term collaboration. They’re not just what we believe—the way we work.
